Glendover Staff Raise Funds and Awareness for Global Genes
During the month of February, Glendover faculty and staff had the opportunity to wear denim and/or their favorite pair of jeans one day a week. Faculty wearing denim on WEAR THAT YOU CARE days were asked to give a donation to Global Genes, whose primary focus is to support rare disease awareness. There are over 7,000 identified rare gentic diseases that affect over 350 million people worldwide. Fifty percent of people affected by rare disease are children but only 5% of rare diseases have an FDA approved drug. Glendover staff, lead by Mrs. Kunath, raised $444.36 for Global Genes! Way to go Glendover staff. For more information about Global Genes click the following link: globalgenes.org.
